Tähti skating school

The goal of this skating school is to introduce children to the technique and concepts of figure skating through fun and play under professional guidance. All 3-9-year-old children interested in figure skating are welcome to the Tähti skating school !

In the figure skating school, we learn the simple basic movements of figure skating while playing, with the help of various tracks, images and equipment. On the ice, the core elements of figure skating are practiced step by step, from starting and stopping up to beginner pirouettes, jumps and slides. The goal of the figure skating school is not only to inspire the child to a good hobby and teach the basics of figure skating, but also to support the child’s personal development in all areas.

Tähtiluistelukoulussa rakennetaan hyvä pohja, josta ponnistaa yksinluistelun ja muodostelmaluistelun Timantti-kehitysryhmän kautta kohti kilparyhmiä ja -joukkueita.

In Tähti skating school we build a good base which helps progressing towards competing groups of figure and synchronized skating.

We hope that by the time the child comes to Tähti skating school, they will already be able to stand and slowly move independently on the ice. However, we do not require an actual skating background. If you don’t have any previous experience on the ice, it’s a good idea to join after learning the basics of working on the ice at the Freezing fun skating school!
